Beyond Meat Launches Beyond Chicken® Tenders in Restaurants Nationwide

Beyond Meat, known for making plant-based protein products, announced on July 8th 2021 the launch of their newest product, Beyond Chicken® Tenders. Strategically released in the midst of a nationwide chicken shortage, Beyond Chicken® Tenders are crafted to look, cook and taste just like the real thing. The tenders have a crispy breading with a tender bite.

Beyond Chicken® Tenders have a healthy 14g on protein per serving with 40% less saturated fat than the leading foodservice chicken tender. Beyond Meat makes these tenders with no GMOs, antibiotics or hormones and they have 0 cholesterol. Even if you are not a vegetarian, these are a healthier alternative to real chicken tenders.

There is no sacrifices on taste with these tenders, in a July 8th press release, Beyond Meat stated that, "Beyond Chicken® Tenders tasted at parity in overall flavor to animal-based chicken tenders in consumer tests, and the National Restaurant Association recently awarded the tenders with its famed Food and Beverage Industry Award."

Beyond Meat prides themselves on "[delivering] the meaty experience you crave without the compromise." Utilizing proteins such as pea, mung bean, faba bean and brown rice, Beyond Meats offer greater or equal protein levels than their animal counterparts. Potato starch and Methylcellulose (plant fiber derivative) are used as a binding agent to hold everything together. Minerals are added to deliver the nutrients expected from meat as well as natural colorings and flavorings which come from plants. All Beyond Meat products have no cholesterol, less saturated fat than their animal counterparts, and no antibiotics or hormones. These are plant-based meats that you can feel good about eating!

Beyond Meat's mission is to impact four growing global issues: human health, climate change, constraints on natural resources, and animal welfare by assisting consumers in making the shift from animal products to plant-based meats.

There is no word regarding whether or not these tenders will be sold direct to consumers in grocery stores.
